Notice of Fare Revision from April 1, 2025 After enjoying a boat tour in the largest mangrove forest in Japan, located at the Nakama River on Iriomote Island, you will ride an Okinawan water buffalo cart and cross the sea to Yubu Island. The small island, with a circumference of approximately 2 kilometers, is a subtropical botanical garden. Enjoy a tour of the island and Okinawan-style bento at the restaurant within the garden. Iriomote Island, which was registered as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site in 2021, is home to rare flora and fauna that welcome visitors. On the way to Yubu Island, you will experience typical Okinawan views of shallow seas while riding the water buffalo cart. You will also visit the "Iriomote Wildlife Conservation Center," a base for conservation activities for the Iriomote wildcat! Here, you can view specimens and video materials about the Iriomote wildcat and other creatures living on Iriomote Island—rarely seen even on the island itself. Please note that the stop may be unavailable on closed days or during busy times. Thank you for your understanding. Closed Days: Every Monday (if Monday is a holiday, the following Tuesday will be closed) June 23 (Memorial Day), Year-end and New Year (December 29 - January 3) The center may also close temporarily due to local events or taxidermy fumigation.
